Despite the record temperatures, SeniorCare Homes has still been able to take residents on regular outings into the community. Ladies from the Newport House in Leawood got out last week to enjoy Peachwave yogurt with all the toppings. They followed with a stop at a nearby pharmacy to browse the makeup aisle and shop for some items for the house. Most of the trip was spent indoors and everybody returned happy and full!

When the weather gets hot, we feel it is even more important for our residents to get out in Prairie Village, Leawood and Overland Park to enjoy some cool treats and sights whenever possible. Regular outings provide great benefits for Alzheimer’s and dementia residents and give everyone a few moments of joy. We encourage families to come up with ideas and even join us for outings.
