SeniorCare Homes to open new Alzheimer-Parkinson’s home in central Overland Park in Spring 2014

PRAIRIE VILLAGE, KANSAS, February 28, 2014 — SeniorCare Homes, LLC has announced the opening of the Vineyard House, their newest property assisting seniors living with Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and dementia.

Slated to open early spring of 2014, the Vineyard House expands on the company’s “small care” concept, which has a proven track record of providing the highest level of personalized attention with each home caring for only 5-8 individuals.

“The stories our new residents tell us about the care and costs at larger facilities are depressing. Our model is designed to offer highly personalized care by a steady, consistent staff at a monthly rate that is often less than larger facilities using care levels and points systems,” says SeniorCare Homes President, Jerry Pullins, Jr.

Established in 2007 in response to Pullins’ own personal experience with trying to find adequate care for his grandmother who suffered from Alzheimer’s disease, SeniorCare Homes offers neighborhood living in real residential homes specially designed to assist those dealing with memory impairments such as dementia, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases.

SeniorCare Homes’ Care Specialists are highly experienced and certified with the state of Kansas as Certified Medication Aides, Certified Nurse Aides, Licensed Practical Nurses, or Registered Nurses. Moreover, they are selected for their genuine compassion and dedication to enhancing a resident’s happiness and wellbeing by cultivating friendships with each resident and his or her family to better understand their needs.

The Vineyard House is the 5th SeniorCare Home opened by the company in metropolitan Johnson County. This venue will feature an expansive backyard designed by Kansas City’s premier landscape architect Bonnie Johnson. In addition to showcasing a deck, bridge, and garden specially designed to attract birds and butterflies, the house will contain a computer room with interactive iPad activity station, a sunroom with garden views, and private rooms for up to six residents.

This new home will be run by members of SeniorCare’s proven team. As a family owned and operated business in Prairie Village, President Jerry Pullins, Jr. oversees the day-to-day management of all five homes. Because the company’s last residence opened to full occupancy, SeniorCare Homes anticipates the Vineyard House will fill prior to opening and encourages prospective families to schedule a tour and reserve a room quickly, as several rooms have already been spoken for.
