Taking a Ride with SeniorCare Homes at Convertible Day
Imagine yourself as the passenger of a top-down convertible as you feel the wind in your hair, the sun warming your face from above and the subtle whoosh as the scenery passes you by. The mere idea of a convertible conjures up mental images of 1950s cool, classic sports cars, Americana, freedom and fun. In fact, there’s practically a convertible for every personality. Feeling classic Americana and timeless? How about hopping into a Ford Thunderbird or Chevrolet Corvette? Or perhaps go old school British with an MGB Roadster or channel the southern European vibe of La Dolce Vita in a classic red Alfa Romeo Spider.
Whether you’re the driver or the passenger, when it comes to riding in a classic convertible there are some truly beautiful options. Even if you don’t you consider yourself to be a true car fanatic, it’s hard to deny the appeal and style of a drive in a top-down convertible. The convertible and the freedom that it inspires has a way of making us remember that sometimes the simplest things can be the most fun and what could more enjoyable, or cooler, than cruising around in a convertible and simply enjoying the day?
The end of summer and the beginning of fall can be a perfect time to make those convertible dreams at reality. At SeniorCare Homes we couldn’t agree more. That’s why each year our staff and residents look forward to our annual convertible day when we rent a convertible Ford Mustang and venture out for a day of cruising and having fun with our residents.
This year we are looking forward to taking advantage of the wonderful weather and the last warm rays of the late summer and early fall for a sneak peak of the fall foliage as it changes from green to only-in-nature shades of red, orange, yellow and purple. For those who know the joys of a convertible we don’t need to tell you that this won’t be any run-of-the-mill foliage tour when it’s experienced by our residents from the vantage point of top-down and open sky.
At SeniorCare Homes we believe that excursions such as our convertible day are not only an opportunity to create a great bonding experience between our residents and staff but they are also a good way to help our residents relax and enjoy some spontaneous fun. An experience such as this is one more way that SeniorCare Homes strives to provide enjoyable, unique experiences that promote independence and fulfillment. We believe that some of the most meaningful experiences occur when you least expect it, so we encourage our residents to share their requests for outings, whether that’s a spin in a convertible, a trip to get ice cream, a visit a pet store to see the animals or an outing to the local farmer’s market for fresh produce.
