SeniorCare Homes enjoyed another successful family night. Residents and families gathered to celebrate the Holiday season and listen to a live harpist perform music for the occasion. Nobody left hungry as the food was catered, allowing the staff to take a break from home cooked meals for this month’s party.

Care is individualized, details are attended to and they are so very, very good at what they do. They have put pieces together to know Mom as a person and can figure out what she is talking about when the word salad times are at their greatest. They are the best!

I have had such a wonderful experience every time I visit that I have a passion for referring friends with aging parents. It is place that feels just like home! We have brought our girl scout troop to do crafts with the residents as well as sing and play the piano for them!! “My dad has been with SeniorCare homes about 9 months now. They take great care of him and are very communicative when it comes to any issues that may arise. They have a lot of programs and activities for the residents, so they are not just sitting around staring at the walls. They also involve the residents in daily activities when possible. When you visit you feel like you are in a house rather than a facility–because you are, and the caregivers make you feel at home and accommodate whatever you might like to do with your loved one. They also have a lot of fun monthly get-togethers for family members to come visit and become acquainted. The facilities are all state licensed. I feel my dad is in good hands and I don’t worry about him wandering or feeling frustrated and lonely now.“
“My mother has been a resident here for a year. We looked at several facilities in the area and found none that come close to creating such a safe and comfortable home environment. The house is spotless, well maintained inside and out. The garden and walking path are enjoyable year round. The residents are well cared for. Mom’s clothes, hair, nails always look great. They know her many stories and how to respond specifically to her when she is upset. They work with the family to keep her medications to a minimum. They sit with her, hold her hand and talk with her when she is confused or needing a little extra TLC. They are very welcoming to the family when we visit. They deal with her mood swings appropriately redirecting her and giving her attention. They are patient and professional dealing with her many night time wakings. They have relieved us from the stressful part of care giving, allowing the time we have with our mom to be pleasant and enjoyable for both her and our family. “

“My dad lived at SeniorCare Homes’ Waveny Park House for more than two years. It was a great experience for him and our family. When you walk into a SeniorCare house, you feel a wonderful positive energy and a sense of family. It’s not institutional. It doesn’t have that funky nursing home smell. It is a regular home. Think about it…in a typical Alzheimer’s care facility, there is one staff person for every 25 or 30 people. That is a nearly impossible job. At SeniorCare, there is one staff person assisting five residents. As a result, the staff truly get to know every resident and their families. My dad loved to sing, so they sang along with him. He liked to get up at 3 am to eat Wheaties and they helped him pour the milk. Thanks to SeniorCare Homes, the last few years of my father’s life were positive and joyful.
